Creating reinforcement from lines

I see that in the release notes for iDIANA 9.4 there is now a feature to 'transfer' geometrical lines to produce reinforcing bars, using the 'GEOMETRY TRANSFER LINE lnam' command.  I have found that this only works with straight lines - not with arcs. Is there any way to get  the definition of arcs to produce a definition for reinforcing bars?  I suspect the only method currently available is to use the arcs to define 'truss elements' and then to process externally to convert the trusses to reinforcing sections.  Has anybody done this?
