Discontinuities in color depiction

By ms - Posted on 13 March 2010

Dear DIANA Users,

i have a question regarding the depiction of colors in post-processing environment. I am calculating the shrinkage of a concrete cylinder (STRUCT_2D), the humidity and temperature values are provided by an external program and implemented via the "READ FILE" instruction.

When i am displaying the content of humidity, the pictures show discontinuities. I've checked the external files, but the values are correct and they should lead in continuos color gradients.

The left picture shows the correct gradient i would expect, but the calculation results in the right picture.

Is it just a bug in the color depiction or is DIANA messing up the external temp and hum-values?

Kind regards,

Matthias

Dear Matthias,

I don't think this is a bug in idiana. The first thing I would do is check loads/supports/boundary conditions.
If you are entitled to support I would say the best thing to do is probably to sent your files to DIANA Support so they can check your problem.

Best regards,
