fire exposed
Good Morning I'm studying for my final exam the Fire Safety Engineering, so I want to model structural elements subjected to external loads and exposed to fire.
I'm trying the trial version but i don't understand how i can do this with DIANA.
I have to use as input data the curves of real fire (temperature-time curves).
Do you have any example of this type of analysis? In the manuals i don't try many
If it were possible that you send it to me I would be immensely grateful to you.
Thank you very much
Greetings

Dear Salvo,
There are several tutorial examples in the DIANA examples manual that deal with staggered analysis (flow-stress analyses, which include temperature effects in the structural analysis). I think the tutorials listed below in the DIANA 9.4 Examples manual are a good start:
- Example "3. Fire under Concrete Slab" in "II- Structural Design" section of the "Concrete & Masonry An." module
- Example "10. Fire near Concrete Safety tank" in "III- Cracking and Failure" section of the "Concrete & Masonry An." module
Also, see Section "VII - Coupled Flow-Stress Analysis" of DIANA 9.4 Analysis Procedures manual for details on staggered analysis (Coupled temperature effects with structural analysis).
I hope it to be helpful,
