2.1.7 Rubbers

For the modeling of rubber structures, DIANA offers special elements with additional pressure degrees of freedom to avoid spurious kinematic modes [Vol. Element Library]. The constitutive behavior for these special elements is restricted to hyperelastic material behavior [§4.4]. Geometric nonlinear effects due to large displacements have to be taken into account by the GEOMET analysis command option [Vol. Analysis Procedures].
